About the event

Please join us for an inspiring Shabbat dinner at FED: Like TED talks, but you also get fed. Come enjoy an amazing meal prepared personally by Deborah with love, as well as a thought-provoking FED talk by Leandro Taub and live musical performance by German Shreider. The shared experience of this music, food and talk will enable us as a community to deepen connections with one another, and to feel part of a larger collective -- and to us at FED, that's the beauty of Shabbat (which can be enjoyed whether or not you have a Shabbat or Jewish practice!)

Leandro Taub is a visionary actor, writer, and speaker whose work transcends conventional boundaries. Renowned for his thought-provoking words that blend diverse influences within the spiritual, Jewish, artistic and business realm, Leandro's work captivates audiences globally.

The evening will also include a brilliant piano performance by German Shreider, who will be playing and speaking about Mozart Sonata 309 first mov. ; Beethoven Sonata 23 first mov. ; Chopin Nocturne op 9 1,2. German graduated from the Finish conservatory in Krasnodar city (Russia) in 2021, then worked in President cadet school in Tumen city as a music teacher. From February this year, he has lived in NY while studying for a Master's degree at The Juilliard School.

We are grateful and so excited to be hosted at the home of Anita Durst, Founder of ChaShaMa. Half of your ticket price will go directly as a donation to this wonderful organization. With your support, Chashama will continue to provide $13 million worth of space for:

  • 180 Artist Workspaces – for artists and performers
  • 150 Presentations – theatre, dance, music, and visual arts
