The mystics of the Kabbalah teach that when the heart is full of intense and deep feeling, the leftovers (“Shirayim”) spill into Song (“Shir”).  KUMI is an event dedicated to awakening the heart, healing the mind, and revitalizing the spirit through song, music, poetry, and intention. Five accomplished inter-disciplinary artists come together on a specific night in September – a night marked by both national remembrance and deep ritual yearning –  to crack us open and lift us toward the Light: Adam Feder (voice and guitar), Ilana Davidson (voice and shruti box), Daphna Mor (voice and recorder), Judith Rose (poetry and musical composition), and Ernesto Villalobos (voice and violin).
