FEDBytes -- an interactive series to get to know your virtual neighbor -- brings you Chanan Ben Simon and Inkyoung Bae, creators of The Weather Channel, a 90’s TV opera in 3 acts. The opera is influenced by the retrofuturism of Vaporwave, Pop culture, and Experimental practices. It combines video art, music, performance and technology in a performance by four characters, two human and two virtual. The Weather Channel uses the warmth of analogue comfort to cover up for cringy truths.

Come experience excerpts from the performance and participate in a conversation with the creators about art, culture, catastrophe, the end of the world -- all from their vantage point at the intersection of these topics! Don't forget to bring a snack (popcorn is recommended).
